About Iranian Retrofitting Researchers Ins. (IRRI)
The organizer of the Conference is the Perpetual Office of International
Conferences (POICSR) supported by Tabriz University, under the auspices of
Iranian Retrofitting Researchers Ins.
POICSR was established in 2007 to promote the study and practice of Seismic
Retrofitting, earthquake engineering and civil engineering and act as a forum
for professionals in need to keep abreast of the rapid developments in the
field. Following the new legislation frame, in 2010 POICSR became Superior
Consultant of Iran Local Government of East Azerbaijan for Seismic Retrofitting
and Earthquake Engineering. Under the auspices of IRRI, Iran Ministry of Science
& Technology and Iran Ministry of Housing and urban Development organized the
International Conference on Seismic Retrofitting, Tabriz, Oct. 20 – Oct. 22,
2008 (nowadays referred to as the First ICSR Symposium). The most significant
achievement of the Tabriz International Conference was the foundation (October
22, 2008) of the Perpetual Office of International Conferences (POICSR),
initially called the Iranian North-West Retrofitting Center.
In the period 2007-2010, sponsored by the Iranian Retrofitting Researchers
Ins., POICSR Organized about 50 Technical Workshops , Seminars and Symposium
and 2International Conference on Seismic Retrofitting.
